Day 1 - Monday, March 10th 2014

Today, we got up very early.
We took our train at 6:18 am and we arrived in Paris Gare Montparnasse  around 9:30 am.

We had a tour around Paris by bus, we saw the "Obélisque", the Eiffel Tower, "Le Moulin Rouge", etc...

At lunch, we ate in "La Gare du Nord".

And we waited for the Eurostar until 1:00 pm.
Our trip lasted nearly two hours.

We arrived in London around 3:00 pm.

We took a bus to go to Stradford, it was cold.
We went to the Aquatic Centre and we saw the swimming pool built for the Olympics Games of 2012, the Arcelor Mittal Tower and the Stadium.

Then we walked along the Wesfield shopping centre.

We got up at 6:45 a.m.
Unfortunately, our toast was burnt for breakfast in our family.

We went to the station at 8:00 a.m and we left at 8:30 a.m.
First, we visited the Docklands and we went to MOL
(Museum of London Docklands).

The visit lasted about one hour and thirty minutes.
We ate for forty-five minutes
(our lunch was not really good:
sandwiches and fruit for dessert).
Then, we went to the Tower of London.
We also went to the City of London and we saw the Gherkin
and many other buildings.

We took the train to go back to our family at 7 p.m
(as the road is inverted, we were scared, and our host family didn't know to drive), after we had a dinner with them at about 7:30p.m, our host family didn't know how to cook...).
We had a shower and we stayed in our bedrooms.

Finally we went to bed at about 10 p.m.

Day 2 - Tuesday, March 11th, 2014

We got up at 6:45am, and we had our first english breakfast : cereals with milk.

After that, we went to the meeting point at 8am.
We left the station thirty minutes later. We received our travel card that day to visit London.

We went to the Docklands (HSBC, Barkleys...) Canary Wharf (the station)…

There are skyscrapers and a museum of London Docklands.

The museum was boring, so we didn't really like it.
There were lots of texts and old photos about Docklands' history.
At 1:00pm, we ate in the museum.

The afternoon, we saw Tower Bridge, it was wonderful but the weather was not very good.
We visited the Tower of London, it was huge and beautiful.
We also saw the Crown Jewels, the changing of the Royal Guards.

Then, we went to the City where there were the Gherkin, Lloyd's Buildings and also the London Stock Exchange. After the City we went to St Paul's Cathedral.

We were tired and we went back to our family.
We ate a hamburger with chips and a yoghurt.

It was sunny and hot!

We saw St Margaret's Church, a strange and grey church.
On the way, we saw some really funny phone boxes.
We had a break in a park. After a little walk, we arrived at Buckingham Palace and we saw the ceremony of the changing of the guards.

We ate in Hyde Park, a very cool park. We saw a lot of very cute squirrels.
Then we went to Piccadilly Circus by Underground.
Piccadilly was sooooo gooooood! There were a lot of fashion shops!
We didn't stay a long time. What a pity!
After, we went to Carnaby street to do some shopping, and to another cool street.
The shops were amazing! We could buy a lot of things.
We went to Sainsbury's (a supermarket) : A surprise organized by our teachers. And finally, we came back home.

Day 4 - Thursday, March 13th, 2014

In the morning, the teachers made us a surprise: we would visit Notting Hill, the famous area that is considered like the Beverly Hills of London.
It’s very cute and there are many colours on the houses (blue, yellow, green, orange…).
After, we took the bus (it was an incredible experience for everybody)and we will tell you an incredible story :

when we go off the bus, Mr. Stylianos asked :

-“Miss Medana… have you got … my bag?” and she answered
-“Oh no, Oh my god“ and we saw him running after the bus and he cried
-“STOPPPPPPPPP!!!!!”.

So, the group waited for Mr. Stylianos but finally, he found his bag!!!

In the afternoon, we went to Kensington palace.
Before the visit, we ate in Kensington Park.
After lunch, we began the visit in the palace.
By groups, we asked questions… when everybody finished answering our questions, we went to the Science museum and we made a photo of our school group in front of the memorial of Prince Albert in Kensington, near the Royal Albert Hall.
Then, we went to the Science museum. Everything was strange, everything was big, everything was beautiful.
So, the museum was a great success!! We liked it!!!
We came back to Lee very tired at the end of the day.

Day 4 - Thursday, March 13th, 2014

We arrived at Lee station, like every day.
We took the train and the underground to join the underground station of Notting Hill Gate.
There were less people than in the other borough of London, because it’s a very rich borough.
We walked in Notting Hill, especially on the Portobello road.

There were lots of beautiful and colorful houses.
At the end of this road, there is a shop which sells old averts for products and for concerts, too.
Then, we took the bus. It wasn’t a double decker, but it was red!

We arrived in front of Kensington Palace. Kensington Palace is both a museum and a palace where the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge live with Prince George.

We ate in Kensington Palace.
After that, we visited the Palace.

We (Louis and Paul) were a little bit disappointed but it was nice anyway…

During WWII,the palace was used as hospital for the soldiers.

Then, we crossed the park, we saw the Albert Memorial.
In front of it, there is the Royal Albert Hall.
We walked behind it, and we visited the Science museum.

We came back to Lee.It was a nice day.

We ate our lunch. We finally took the Eurostar train to Lille-Flandres. We immediately saw the difference between England and France : the station out there is very dirty !

Then, we took the TGV to Bordeaux.
The journey was long and we were tired, but no one slept anyway !

We arrived at 10:30 p.m. We were a bit sad to find our parents at the station with the bad weather and the daily routine.
